With the end of the year fast approaching we want to take a moment to let you know of a couple of changes for next year.

Bell Schedule

Our Bell Schedule is changing slightly to accommodate some shifts in the calendar. We will be starting school at 8:28, only a few minutes different from this year and ending at the same time, 3:10. Lunch will be thirteen minutes earlier in the new school year, starting at 12:29.

Physical Education and Complimentary Programming

With our school continuing to grow, we have been brainstorming solutions to our space issue for daily PE. Next year we will have at least 7 classes in grade 6, 7, and 8 and there is a strong possibility we could have as many as 8 classes in grade 6, 7 and 8. This number of students is very difficult to send to PE all at the same time so we are looking at having PE every second day. On the days there is no PE students will be in a health class, where there will still be opportunities to do some physical activity but there will also be a focus on all forms of health, physical and mental. In addition we have tried to imbed Sports Performance and Outdoor Education options into our complimentary program for those students that crave another level of activity. If we are finding we need to alter this path, and look at trying to implement more PE, we will adjust mid-year.
