Dear Dr. Martha Cohen Families,
We are so pleased to welcome our students back to school. The past few weeks have reminded us just how much we value the energy, laughter, and learning that fill our classrooms and hallways every day. Our staff has truly missed our students, and we are ready to move forward together with renewed purpose, warmth, and optimism.
While the recent labour disruption created an unexpected pause, please know that our focus remains where it has always been — on students and their learning. We are committed to re-establishing routines, rebuilding connections, and ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and engaged as we continue through the school year. Our teachers and support staff have been working diligently to ensure that learning resumes smoothly and meaningfully, and that each student receives the care and attention they need to thrive.
At Dr. Martha Cohen School, we believe that relationships are at the heart of great learning. In the days ahead, we will take the time to reconnect, listen, and rebuild our sense of community. We will continue to emphasize strong academics, creativity, and well-being, ensuring that students feel both challenged and supported. We know that parents and guardians are essential partners in this work, and we thank you for your patience, understanding, and trust as we transition back to our normal routines.
Our goal is simple: to make the remainder of this year a successful, rewarding, and memorable experience for every student. We are confident that, together, we can make this a time of growth and celebration — a year where learning flourishes and our sense of belonging as a school community grows even stronger.
On behalf of the entire staff at Dr. Martha Cohen School — welcome back! We missed you, we care about you, and we’re excited to get back to learning, laughing, and achieving together.
Warm regards,
Jason Hartl
Principal
