Week of January 5th

Science:

This week in Science, students completed the design and construction of a device using a chosen energy resource to address a community problem. We are looking forward to next week, when students will present their work at a mini Science Fair and participate in our classroom version of Dragon’s Den, known as “Chimera’s Den.” 

Math:

This week in Math, students completed a Fractions Scavenger Hunt and learned how to calculate volume using the appropriate formula. They practiced applying this knowledge by finding the volume of rectangular prisms.

Tasks & Assignments: 

*** Fractions Scavenger Hunt- Should be completed and if not handed in, is overdue 

*** Wednesday, January 21st:  Math Cumulative Test 

This Test will cover everything we have covered so far this year.
