Terry Fox Fundraiser: Every Dollar Makes a Difference

At Dr. Martha Cohen School, we believe that when a community comes together for a great cause, amazing things can happen. This September, our Student Leadership team is proud to launch our annual Terry Fox Fundraiser, an opportunity for students, staff, and families to honour Terry's legacy while making a meaningful contribution to cancer research.

Terry Fox inspired Canadians from coast to coast with his determination, courage, and belief that one person can make a difference. His Marathon of Hope continues to inspire generations, and our students are excited to do their part by raising funds and awareness in our school community.

This year, we are adding an exciting new twist to our fundraiser. Rather than offering just a few raffle prizes, every donation will help unlock new school-wide rewards and experiences. As fundraising totals grow, additional prizes and memorable staff challenges will be added to the draw. Students will have the chance to win exciting experiences, while also seeing some of their favourite staff members step outside their comfort zones for a good cause.

From September 9 to 17, members of our Student Leadership team will be selling raffle entries during lunch hours. On September 18, students will participate in a school-wide Terry Fox activity, assembly, and walk/run as we celebrate our fundraising efforts and reflect on Terry's message of perseverance and hope.

We invite all families to support this important initiative. Whether your contribution is large or small, every donation helps fund life-changing cancer research and demonstrates to our students the power of compassion, service, and community.
