Celebrating Our Chimera of the Month
At Dr. Martha Cohen School, we are proud to recognize students who make a positive impact on our school community through our Chimera of the Month program.
Each month, teachers from each grade team select one student per grade who has demonstrated exceptional qualities that reflect the values we want to foster in our school. Students may be chosen for a wide variety of reasons, including:
- Academic achievement or growth
- Consistent effort and perseverance
- Positive citizenship
- Leadership
- Athletic accomplishments
- Helping and supporting others
- Kindness, empathy, and compassion
- Contributions to the school community
- Demonstrating resilience or personal growth
What makes Chimera of the Month special is that there is no single formula for earning the recognition. Each grade team works together to identify students who have stood out in meaningful ways during that month. Some students are recognized for academic excellence, while others may be celebrated for their character, work ethic, attitude, leadership, or the positive difference they make in the lives of those around them.
Our goal is to ensure that we recognize and celebrate the many different ways students contribute to making Dr. Martha Cohen School a welcoming, supportive, and successful learning community.
